The IUCIS offers an excellent support program in which you can meet with a personal coach and program guide on a weekly or biweekly basis for individual sessions and training guidance. This program is open for all students. It is a requirement if you are enrolled in the EITCP. Through sessions with your coach you apply and deepen the knowledge, skills and techniques you have gained in the modules. Your studies will become much more effective and you will get more practical experience and understanding of the materials taught. Your coach will challenge and support you in both your own personal growth as well as in your professional development. Our coaches feel committed to pass on their experience and knowledge to you and at the same time encourage you to develop your own personal style in the work. A coach can also give you guidance and supervision in as you start leading groups. If you apply for a coach we offer a special reduced session fee. For detailed information ask our representative for the program description and the coaching catalog in which you can find a coach who meets your needs.

As you progress in your studies (at least 10 Level II and III modules) you can enroll in the coaching training program where you receive the training and skills necessary to become a coach and you step into coaching new students in the program. This is also a great possibility to start your practice as a trainer. After finishing Level III and the GLT you could also offer support and supervision groups. As Coach you will be an active member and a professional representative of the IUCIS with a high degree of maturity and responsibility. Being a coach will give you a lot of personal and professional experience.

Support Groups

Support groups are small and intimate groups of students (usually 5-10) and meet 2x month. Support group format includes open space to work with needs of the participants and the giving and receiving of training sessions.

Supervision Groups

Supervision occurs in both a one-to-one setting and in small groups. Often a session is conducted live and is video taped. Afterwards the video is used to provide in-depth feedback on trainer/client interactions.
