Consciousness, Energy and The Body

Every human being is confronted with sickness throughout their life, whether it be their own or that of a beloved. Sickness means that something in us is out of balance. Sometimes it is a hint that something needs to change in our life, sometimes it can be a benediction, pointing out that there is more to us than our body. Sometimes it’s like a present from a beloved, teaching us something about love.

Our natural reaction when faced with illness is fear, defense, resistance, resentment, anger or a deep feeling of being not OK the way we are. We feel like a victim that "something has happened to us" and we then place our healing into the hands of another with the hope that they will know what to do to make us healthy. The atmosphere around illness is primarily influenced by the natural sciences. It is a mechanistic approach primarily concentrated on the body. We have made almost miraculous strides in our medical sciences, and the use of medicines and surgery can be a great blessing. But there is another dimension that needs to be addressed – that health is also concerned with a harmonious mental, emotional and spiritual connection to ourselves, and that these issues play an important part of the healing process.

Programs in the Faculty of Healing Arts focus on the psychological, energetic and spiritual aspects of healing. They teach us what it means to come back into balance and they emphasize the use of awareness to changes our attitudes and our energies so that we can more fully support the healing process instead of interfering in it. These programs are of great value for use in hospitals, clinics, private practices and for use at home. They emphasize ways of connecting to ourselves, finding inner balance, opening our compassion and using, energy, intuition and wisdom to support the return to health.

Selbstbewußtsein - Selbst-Bewußtsein

Credits: 2

For: For people working in clinics, hospitals, public or private health systems and those who are in contact with illness on a day-to-day basis.

Length: Saturday and Sunday or in 4 afternoon sessions

Environments where there illness are toxic environments and not only because of disease or chemicals but also because of the emotional and psychological atmosphere of tension, imbalance, disturbed emotions, trauma and more. The result is that medical professionals easily burn out, are thrown out of balance, or become angry, harsh, tense and resentful. Many suffer from addition to cigarettes, alcohol, sugar and harder drugs as a way of coping.

In this program we work with a new form of conscious relationship to ourselves and to our patients. We explore ways of protecting ourselves from destructive psychological and emotional energies and we learn ways of regenerating and recreating our own energies and the energies of those around us to support an atmosphere more conducive to health for all concerned – patients as well as the professionals.

The body has a life of it’s own. For many of us our bodies are crying but mostly we are not aware of it. Many disturbances we experience are not related to the mind, to understanding to words or pictures. Their origins might vary from hormones, celestial energies, stress and many others factors. In these moments touch is like magic - balancing, healing and nourishing in ways that nothing else can be. Touch is intimate, loving, healing and supportive. Conscious touch lets you communicate from being to being. It brings balance and opens inner doors. It helps you to make friends with your body and learn to relate in a more gentle and healthy way to it

This weekend will cover

• Chakra balancing

• Body balancing

• The use of hands for healership

This program on Conscious Nutrition uses Ayurveda to look at yourself from a wide and inclusive picture to understand yourself in your wholeness.

Nutrition is a way of coming in contact with our feelings, needs and thoughts as well as with our body. Because of stress or other reasons we move out touch with what our bodies really need. We don’t nourish ourselves properly and we don’t’ recognize the signals our body sends to tell us this. Over time our body can not longer compensate for this and we move out balance. This affects not only our body but our entire system – physical, psyche and spirit. Untreated it leads to illness.

Conscious nutrition works with the intricate balance between body and spirit. It helps you to balance your emotions, mind and spirit through keeping the physical body vital through proper food that is in tune with the changing needs of your dynamic and changing rhythm and lifestyle. You become sensitive to your own energies, the energies in different foods, and what suits your needs best.
