The IUCIS is built upon seven faculties addressing critical areas that can most support change in ourselves and our society. Each faculty is built around one of the major life themes as determined by the 7 centers of the human energy system. Each faculty applies the core teachings of the Science of the Soul and Essence Training to the particular needs of this area of life. 

Each faculty offers:

• More in-depth training for people interested in further exploration and enrichment of that area of their lives 
• Short Course Certifications – Certification to teach a particular theme
• Professional training leading to a BA, MA and Ph.D. in this area
• Community education and outreach 

The faculties include the core training of Essence Training and their own course work designed to develop specific skills and understandings. Professional training includes scheduled classes as well as a high degree of independent studies in a university without walls education format. Students determine a course of independent studies, how they will go about gaining this learning and how they will evaluate the course of their learning. A coach is assigned as a guide to support the independent study process. 

Each faculty offers 1 or 2 primary programs designed to meet the fundamental needs of individuals concerned with that life theme. These primary courses are included here in the catalog. In addition, the faculties offer many other courses that are added on a regular basis. See additional course listings in the regularly updated "Course Supplement" or check our web site.

Our faculties are developing. Building on the foundation of Essence Training we have some great programs coming up and these are just the beginning!
